June Morris

I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor trained in Transactional Analysis, an integrative model that uses a range of tools and is interactive. I also have over 16 years’ experience working in the education system as a teacher and an Additional Learning needs Co-ordinator in mainstream and in a Pupil Referral Unit, looking after children with behavioural difficulties. I have worked with pupils from 3 years to 19 years old who have a range of needs from ASD/ADHD to medical, physical and learning difficulties. I work closely with families and liaise with the wider services, to offer opportunities that are the best suited and most appropriate for each child and adolescent.

For the past 3 years, I have also been volunteering with a charity that deals with Rape and Sexual Abuse, offering my counselling skills working with children, adolescents and adults.

I am continuing to expand my knowledge and understanding in pain management and how to deal with chronic pain, which stems from my own personal and family experiences.

For me, therapy is about exploring, challenging and facing up to our thoughts, fears and our past, it is about doing this with support and free from judgement. It is about caring for the whole person, to make them feel as though they are able to grow, find strength they didn’t know they had or had forgotten, to help them to prepare to make the next steps to enable them to move forward. My goal is to provide a quality therapeutic service in an environment that allows each client to have a safe space to talk in confidence and be listened to without prejudice or judgement.

I am an individual registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by its ethics and code of conduct.
